Get your drink on at of the best rooftop patios in Toronto

Via Curiocity Toronto

Let’s talk numbers for a hot second. 3 bars, 4 patios, 24 beers on tap, and a heart as big as New Zealand. Hemingway’s is Yorkville’s pick for a lot of things. Namely, patio sunshine, NZ vibes, sports games, and drinks.

Let’s take a peek into this go-to summer spot, shall we? Spoiler alert: it involves nachos.

Hemingway’s fills a couple of niches. Firstly, there’s the whole New Zealand-themed bar niche, which might not have even been there.

However, they filled it and we’re thankful. Rugby jerseys and names of places we can’t pronounce add a really fun little exotic mood.

Also, they’re both somewhat of a sports bar AND a lounge spot. There are screens everywhere, so it’s an ideal game night pick. Also, with the more than generous patio space, it’s perfect for day drinks. In fact, the roof over the rooftop retracts when it’s nice out, so you can nail the shoulder tan while you enjoy your sangria.

Foodwise, we’ve got everything from brunch to late-night platters. Try the NZ gems, like lamb shank for dinner or pavlova covered in kiwi fruit for dessert.

What pairs best with a patio? Definitely their platters. Get a ton of calamari, veggies, nachos, tacos, salads, and more all on one plate. They say platters typically feed 6-8 people. Although, we’ll leave that up to how hungry y’all are.

So, we’re feeling a cold drink, a platter of nachos, and an attempt at pronouncing “taumata whakatangi hangakoauau o tamatea” by the drunkest friend at the table.

Let’s head down under mates, AKA Yorkville. Cheers, kiwis!
