TO’s Fashion Week is going virtual in support of FoodShare Toronto this year
Fashion Art Toronto is turning fifteen, but this year’s celebration will be anything but ordinary. In a regular year, The Toronto Fashion Week is one of the most highly-anticipated events in the city. Folks come from all over to admire the incredible Canadian and international designs being featured. However, because of, you guessed it, COVID-19 this year’s in-person event had to be cancelled.
But that doesn’t be the celebration isn’t happening! This year, we can catch the Toronto Fashion week live online thanks to the fine people at Fashion Art Toronto. All you’ve gotta do is open your laptop to take part in the festivities for free. Of course, given the price of the tickets in a regular year, this is a great deal.
Because folks don’t have to pay for tickets to the event, instead they’re asking for donations to their fundraiser in support of FoodShare Toronto. Accessing an amazing show AND supporting a great cause? Sign us up.
The virtual fashion week will feature 25 Canadian designers showcasing their talents from across the city. Runway shows will be live-streamed from closed sets located at all the city’s best spots. There’ll be shows at The Bentway, Nathan Phillips Square, Ontario Place, and more. Of course, please remember these are closed sets. So while you cannot visit the shows in-person, you can catch all the action online.
So be sure to log on to this amazing fall event! We can’t wait to see all the incredible pieces these Canadian designers have come up with.
