The Second City has found its new home! The longstanding comedy house has been searching for a new spot, and they’ve chosen a bigger, better venue than ever before.

Now, the comedy institution will call One York Street home. They snagged 28,700 square feet on the third floor of the retail section. Besides room for multiple comedy theatres, they’ve also got space for an improv school, a games bar, and a restaurant. It’s going to be the Second City Tiny City.

The building itself has great PATH connectivity, excellent dining nearby, and plentiful retail.

According to Newswire, CEO and Producer of the theatre, Andrew Alexander, is pleased with the new location. “Since [we] came to Toronto in 1973, this city has developed some of the finest names in comedy… Our new home will allow us to continue the tradition of discovering new talent while affording us additional stages for diverse programming.”

The company will be moving into its new space in late 2020. Until then, check out their programming right here!
