Although live music feels like a faraway dream today, it looks like there could be a light at the end of the tunnel. Yes, we’re talking about country music’s Eric Church. The 2020 CMA Entertainer of the Year has high sights set on a 55-city North American arena tour, with multiple stops in Canadian cities.

The show is titled The Gather Again Tour, which we can only take as a nod to restrictions on gathering the world has faced for the past several months. It includes five stops in Canadian cities, with shows in Calgary (October 22nd), Saskatoon (October 23rd), Vancouver (October 29th), Toronto (January 14th, 2022), and Ottawa (January 15th, 2022).

Of course, with COVID-19 still very much at large, it’s safe to say these shows won’t be happening for a hot minute. The Gather Again Tour is scheduled to kick off on September 17th and its first Canadian show will be in October.

Perhaps assuming the pandemic will be over by fall may seem a touch optimistic to some. But we’ll be crossing our fingers, toes, and every limb we’ve got that Church’s optimism is correct.

Eric Church has been a vocal promoter of the COVID-19 vaccination. He has publicly spoken in support of it and will even appear in an upcoming PSA to promote vaccine education.

Tickets for The Gather Again Tour go on sale to the general public on May 7th. You can head over to this website to find more details and to nab your seat.
