Another weekend is here and we’re ready to settle in with some popcorn, some candy, and our favourite streaming platforms. Are we turning our brains into putty with these endless television bingeing marathons? Probably. Does any of that matter in quarantine? Nope! This weekend, there are some stellar picks hitting the Internet. From topical teen dramas to spine-chilling horror, there’s a little something for everyone.

Here are 5 awesome new movies and shows to stream this weekend.

First on the list, we’ve got Grand Army. This Netflix Original dropped today and it’s already got people talking. The series follows five high school teens as they deal with things like sex, race, and politics. It’s a topical and poignant show, that’ll keep you hooked all the way through. Plus, it was shot in Toronto so we’re fans by default.

This next pick is certainly relevant for our current situation. It was filmed entirely in isolation and it stars some of our faves like Orange is the New Black‘s Danielle Brooks and Oscar Nuñez from The Office. The story is a dark-comedy take on how to stay connected while being forced apart. It’s got a sweet, feel-good vibe that’s sure to get you through the weekend.
