The Bloor-Yorkville Icefest will take you on a Trip Around the World this winter
One of Toronto’s favourite parts of winter is coming back in the new year. We’re talking about the Bloor-Yorkville Icefest. This annual event has been decorating the area with ice sculptures for the past 16 years. Folks can head over to Bloor-Yorkville to explore artwork after artwork as they marvel at the magnificent display.
As for the theme? This year it’s…drumroll, please… Trip Around the World! Each sculpture will depict iconic destinations from across the globe. They’ll have a collection of renowned tourist destinations all set up right here at home! Pretty fitting after a year of travel restrictions, right?

Speaking of restrictions, there’s no need to worry about the pandemic getting in the way. The Bloor-Yorkville Icefest is being designed specifically for socially-distant enjoyment. All of the sculptures will be spaced out with plenty of room. Plus, the tour is self-guided!
So mark your calendars, people! This winter just got a little cooler. We can’t wait to see all the art pieces this event pulls out.
