Canada’s biggest street festival is about to take over the Danforth
Oh yeah, you already know which festival we’re talking about. Baklava, dancing, music, and shattering plates galore! Sounds like the first party we threw in our parent’s house. Actually, it’s Taste of the Danforth, and it’s back in town this weekend.
Canada’s largest street festival attracts over 1.6 million people (yeah, that many) over the course of three days. It’s Greek, it’s in its 26th year, and it’s one of the best weekends of the summer.

Fun fact, Toronto has the largest Hellenic community outside of actual Greece itself. However, that’s not the only flavour of the festival. Catch performances and snacks from many other cuisines and locales, but then definitely come back for thirds of spanakopita.
The fest is free, so get ready for a serious taste of the Danforth! No, like don’t lick the street. It doesn’t actually taste good. The festival does.
When: Friday, Augsut 9- Sunday, August 11
Where: Danforth Ave & Pape Ave
