An amazing new drive-in venue is coming to Toronto this July!
Drive-ins are making a comeback, baby! Who knew all it’d take was a global pandemic for the popular entertainment venue of the 60s to come back? And now, we’re about to get a brand new drive-in entertainment spot. It’s sure to be the setting of all your favourite 60s teen movie reenactments, so let’s check it out.
The place is called CityView Drive-in. Its new home is going to be on Polson Pier, which means Lake Ontario and the city skyline will be serving as the backdrop. Hey, that’s not a bad location at all!

Of course, the whole thing is designed to function with social distancing, using over 200 reserved parking spots. Then, you’ll be able to enjoy entertainment on the 238-foot stage and three massive LED screens from the comfort of your own car. And just so you know, all tickets will need to be purchased in advance for a contactless entry experience.
They’ve even already scheduled the first few events! The Canadian rock band Monster Truck will be playing on July 16th. Allan Rayman is performing on July 18th. And A Tribe Called Red is stopping by on August 6th. You can buy your tickets for all the upcoming shows right here.
So get excited, Toronto! We know that this will be a popular spot this summer.
