These Toronto hospitals rank among world’s best for 2024

Toronto has once again made an impressive list on a global scale. A new report has ranked these Toronto hospitals among some of the world’s best for 2024.

In a report by Newsweek, in partnership with global research firm Statista, they have ranked the best of the best when it comes to specialized hospitals.

“Information is a powerful tool when you or someone you love is facing an important health care decision, especially one that requires selecting a hospital or care team,” shares Nancy Cooper, Global Editor-In-Chief.

“This year, we expanded our rankings to cover the best facilities in 12 specialties, with the addition of obstetrics and gynecology.”

The ranking includes the top 300 hospitals for cardiology and oncology, the top 250 for pediatrics, the top 150 in each specialty of cardiac surgery, endocrinology, and gastroenterology, top 125 in each for neurology, neurosurgery, orthopedics, pulmonology, and urology and the top 100 for obstetrics and gynecology.

As for the results, in the top 10 you’ll see hospitals in the U.S., France, South Korea, and U.K, made the cut.

But for Canada, Toronto’s Hospital for Sick Children comes in second place under Pediatrics.

The Princess Margaret Cancer Centre for Oncology in Toronto comes in 13th and Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre in sixth for Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Several facilities across Canada including Vancouver, Montreal, Calgary, and Edmonton were also ranked in the list.
