The World Naked Bike Ride is set to return to Toronto this weekend

It is an annual event that turns heads globally, and it is set to return to Toronto. The World Naked Bike Ride will be taking place this year on June 11.

According to organizers, the annual World Naked Bike Ride is a “global protest against the over usage of oil and urban pollution, promoting greater cycling safety on our roads, and encouraging body freedom for everyone.”

Riders are encouraged to join the legal ride, which is free of charge and there’s no registration. Originating in Vancouver, the World Naked Bike Ride now occurs in over 80 cities worldwide.

“This will be our biggest ride yet. Slowly the pandemic has cleared up and the city will be more vibrant,” state organizers.

“Our third pandemic protest ride is on schedule. Just show up and ride. Do the mask and bicycle distancing thing like you did in 2021.”

The World Naked Bike Ride follows a mapped route, which can be found here. Expect it to ride by Queen’s Park, Kensington Market, Yorkville, down Queen and Church streets, and by Trinity Bellwoods Park.
