Guess what, NBA fans? The Toronto Raptors are officially kicking off the preseason in Vancouver this fall, and sooner still, the team will host its annual Open Practice in Burnaby.

On Friday, the Raptors announced that Head Coach Darko Rajaković and his team will return to Metro Vancouver for training camp from Tuesday, October 3rd to Saturday, October 7th.

As for where the training will take place, the NBA shares that the team will first train at Burnaby’s Christine Sinclair Community Centre on the dates above, with its Open Practice scheduled for Friday, October 6th at SFU’s West Gym.

Tickets will be available for purchase online at 10 am on Wednesday, September 6th for $20 to $40 each – so if you want to catch a bit of action before the preseason starts, mark your calendars and set your alarms.

What’s more, net proceeds from the event will go towards the SFU Athletics General Fund, according to the NBA.

This marks the eighth time in the team’s history that the training camp has been hosted in BC, and the sixth in Vancouver.

Note that aside from the Open Practice, all practice sessions are closed to the public.

As for the official preseason, fans can look forward to the first of four games on Sunday, October 8th, which will be against the Sacramento Kings at Rogers Arena. This is the only preseason game to be located in Vancouver, so get excited!

Tickets to the preseason game will go on sale on August 25th.
