Toronto Raptors make history tonight with NBA’s first all-female broadcast team

The Toronto Raptors will be making history tonight will Canada’s very first all-female broadcast team. The move comes in celebration of Women’s History Month and International Women’s Day, and it’s a fabulous initiative to promote women in sports.

So which badass women are leading the charge? We’ve got Meghan McPeak on play-by-play, WNBA’s Kia Nurse doing analysis, TSN’s Kayla Gray with court-side reporting, and Kate Beirness and Amy Audibert holding it down in the studio. These awesome ladies make quite an impressive team!

In a press release about the event, Toronto Raptors Vice President of Diversity and Inclusion, John Wiggins, said the goal of the broadcast is “to highlight the contributions that women make individually, across so many broadcasts, by bringing them all together.”

Hopefully, all the girls watching tonight will be inspired by the incredible display of what women are capable of accomplishing in sports broadcasting.

If you’d like to witness this historic event go down, be sure to tune to tonight’s game. The Toronto Raptors will be facing off against the Denver Nuggets.

The game starts at 7 PM ET on TSN.
