If you’re looking to lock down your winter travel plans, you’ll be pleased to hear that Toronto will soon be getting a new direct flight service to a stunning Caribbean island that currently requires a layover (or two) to reach.
Caribbean Airlines announced on Friday that it’s expanding its network with the introduction of a new nonstop route between Tobago and Toronto.
Starting Oct. 25, 2026, the airline, which is the national carrier of Trinidad and Tobago, will operate weekly, direct flights between Pearson Airport and A.N.R. Robinson International Airport in Tobago, with service operating on Sundays.
Flights will depart Toronto at 3:20 p.m. and arrive in Tobago at 9:55 p.m., while returning flights will leave Tobago at 8:40 a.m. and arrive back in Toronto at 1:25 p.m. Currently, those travelling between the two destinations have to connect through Piarco International Airport in Port of Spain in Trinidad.
Tobago is one half of the dual-island nation of Trinidad and Tobago, and is located just off the coast of Venezuela. The island is known for its postcard-worthy beaches, cuisine, and natural beauty, including the Main Ridge Forest Reserve, which is considered the oldest protected rainforest in the Western Hemisphere.
Caribbean Airlines also operates nonstop flights between Toronto and Trinidad, competing with Air Canada on the route.
Flights are available for booking online now.
