The second annual Gingerbread Festival is coming back to Toronto this holiday season. The Yonge + St Clair neighbourhood will kick off the festive event this week with a massive gingerbread house, mini gingerbread village, large gingerbread balloon, and more.
The Yonge + St. Clair community welcomes all to Toronto’s largest Gingerbread Festival, starting on December 7th.
Enjoy 12 festival days across three event sites, exploring the wonders and joys of the holiday season.
Check out the festival on its launch day for the unveiling of the large-scale gingerbread house and mini Yonge + St. Clair gingerbread village.
You’ll have the chance to enjoy live music, entertainment, holiday sweets, and a gingerbread decorating workshop for free.

There are a number of workshops you can take part in such as Gingerbread house decorating, and winter treats making. Anyone can sign up, and a minimum suggested donation is $25.
Last year’s event saw over 500 attendees, according to organizers. That is why this year, the Yonge + St. Clair BIA “wanted to expand its festival scope to build more than just gingerbread houses.”
That being said, they have partnered with Habitat for Humanity to raise funds to help build homes across the city.
But don’t worry, you don’t have to pay to enter. The event is free to attend.
Snap a pic with Toronto’s largest gingerbread balloon for a limited time, before it floats away, and take part in a gingerbread trail too.
There’s so much to see and do at the Gingerbread Festival this month.
