Grab your swimsuit! Here’s when Toronto beaches are opening for the season

The weather is warming up in Toronto and the time to start planning beach days has come! Toronto’s supervised beaches are opening in June, spanning across the city. You won’t want to miss a second of soaking up the sun so be sure to jot these spots down.

The supervised beaches in Toronto will have lifeguards on duty as of June 1st, 2024 daily between 10:30 AM and 7:30 PM.

According to the City of Toronto, “From the golden sands of Bluffer’s Park Beach to the vibrant atmosphere of Woodbine Beach, each of these pristine locations offers the perfect spot to enjoy the refreshing waters of Lake Ontario.”

The beaches include:

  • Bluffer’s Beach: 1 Brimley Rd S
  • Centre Island Beach: 9 Queens Quay W (ferry)
  • Cherry/Clarke Beach: 1 Cherry St
  • Gibraltar Point Beach: 9 Queens Quay W (ferry)
  • Hanlan’s Point Beach: 9 Queens Quay W (ferry)
  • Kew-Balmy Beach: 1 Beech Ave
  • Marie Curtis Park Beach: 2 Forty Second St
  • Sunnyside Beach: 1755 Lake Shore Blvd W
  • Ward’s Island Beach: 9 Queens Quay W (ferry)
  • Woodbine Beach: 1675 Lake Shore Blvd E

The City of Toronto also states that eight out of 10 supervised swimming beaches have received The Blue Flag award for their high standards for water quality, environmental management, environmental education and safety.

We can’t think of anything better than packing some sunglasses, snacks and sunscreen and heading over to one of these Toronto beaches.
