Top Chef Canada is now casting for its eleventh season & this is how to apply

Think you have what it takes to be a top chef? Top Chef Canada is holding a casting call for its eleventh season and you can be a part of it! Here are the details on how to apply to be in the “most prestigious culinary competition in the county.”

How to apply

If you want to be considered for the casting call the first thing you need to do is fill out an application.

According to Top Chef Canada, “To be considered for this show you must fill out this application honestly, accurately, completely and to the best of your ability.”

Completed applications must be submitted by April 12th, 2024 at midnight and from there, successful applicants will be contacted.

In ordered to be considered the application has to be done in full and consist of the following:

Completed Application Form (including signed Applicant Agreement and Release and Certification of Veracity)
Photo of yourself (uploaded)
Self-shot video introducing yourself approximately 2 minutes in length (uploaded)
Most recent CV (uploaded)

A sample of some of the questions the application asks include:

Are you a professional chef?
Have you attended a culinary school or any other cooking programs? And did you complete your degree?
Do you or have you ever owned your own restaurant and/or catering company?
In three words, describe your culinary style?
What is your signature dish? Or the style of food you are most known for?
What are some culinary skills you need to, or would like to improve on?
What is a unique talent you possess or an interesting fact about yourself?
If you could choose anywhere to cook in Canada, where would it be?

Top Chef Canada also notes you must be over the age of 19 to apply and be a Canadian citizen or permanent resident of Canada.
