In honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day, all National Parks will be open and free to the public. Luckily for Washington state, this includes Mount Rainier. But best of all, this is just the start of 2021s free park days across the nation.

Throughout 2021 you can expect five more free admission dates. These will happen on April 17th, August 4th, August 25th, September 25th, and November 11th. On these days, admission to all 63 National Parks in the US is free. So if you have some parks you’d like to check out consider doing it on one of these days.

Now keep in mind because of the pandemic, not all facilities or services are available at National Parks. And as always you should be prepared when going into the outdoors. So make sure you have adequate supplies, extra food, and water as well as warm clothes. After all, you’re always better safe than sorry.
