Toronto is getting a prom for adults with tamagotchis and ‘big shiny tunes’

Ready to re-live your teenage glory days? A throwback prom is coming to Toronto and you’ll feel transported back to the good old days.

The party takes place this weekend at Stackt Market’s Blue Moon Brewery.

You’ll be rocking out to live music by Discmen playing 90s and 2000s “big shiny tunes” — yup, like the ones on your CD player.

You may want to dig through your childhood bedroom for that prom outfit because the best-dressed folks at the party will be given big door prizes.

Guests will also be welcomed by a cup from the spiked punch bowl, and there will be “hidden Tamagotchi specials” to score throughout the evening.

We can only hope that this means we’ll be walking away with one on our keychains.

Get ready to tear up the dance floor to sets by DJ Rob Dyer, snap some photos in the photo booth, and confess your love to your crush once and for all.

Afterward, you can head on over to Stackt Market’s epic Holiday Hills festival.

You’ll get to shop for holiday gifts at the market, indulge in festive food and drink offerings, participate in community-led events, workshops and so much more.

There’s a new addition to the festivities this year, the Holiday Hills Fun Zone, featuring a huge Ferris wheel for those stunning city views and a one-of-a-kind 40 x 40 ft. Crokicurl ice rink.

There’s also the retro-inspired Studio Chateau, featuring warm holiday cocktails and mouthwatering eats, plus a hidden whiskey bar located inside a traditional yurt.
