Three scooter companies could be coming to Seattle soon

Roughly a year after being introduced, it looks like the Seattle Scooter Share pilot program is ready to get off the ground. A recent blog post from the Seattle Department of Transportation shared the news. So, here’s a quick rundown!

The scooter-share pilot program started up last August but was significantly delayed by COVID-19. Then, last week, City Council officially approved the program and gave the green light for companies to seek permits.

Those companies are Lime, Wheels, and LINK. Lime and LINK are pretty much your run-of-the-mill e-scooters, while Wheels falls somewhere in between a bike and a scooter. But, all three have been given the offer, so you could have some variety anyway.

The news release claims to have the pilot program ready to go in the ‘very near future’. Fingers crossed that it’s weeks, not months, when we finally see these bad boys.JTNDZGl2JTIwaWQlM0QlMjJtb2JpbGUtYWQtb25seSUyMiUzRSUwQSUzQyUyMS0tJTIwU2VhdHRsZSUyMC0lMjBNb2JpbGUlMjAtLSUzRSUwQSUzQ2lucyUyMGNsYXNzJTNEJTIyYWRzYnlnb29nbGUlMjIlMEElMjAlMjAlMjAlMjAlMjBzdHlsZSUzRCUyMmRpc3BsYXklM0FibG9jayUzQndpZHRoJTNBMzIwcHglM0JoZWlnaHQlM0E1MHB4JTNCJTIyJTBBJTIwJTIwJTIwJTIwJTIwZGF0YS1hZC1jbGllbnQlM0QlMjJjYS1wdWItNTUyMTg1Njk1NTQ5NzQ1NiUyMiUwQSUyMCUyMCUyMCUyMCUyMGRhdGEtYWQtc2xvdCUzRCUyMjE2MjcxNzI5NDclMjIlM0UlM0MlMkZpbnMlM0UlMEElM0MlMkZkaXYlM0U=
