This weekend you can score free access to all Washington State Parks

If you’re looking to get out of the house this weekend, it’s pretty much the perfect time to explore the great outdoors. Because April 3rd just so happens to be one of many free state park days. So that means no need to have a Discovery Pass to see the best of what Washington State Parks has to offer.

Washington has over 100 state parks including 9 marine parks and 11 historical parks. So you have plenty of options when it comes to exploring. But a few of our faves include Camano Island, Crawford State Park, and Rockport State Park. And the parks foundation website just so happens to have a very handy interactive map that can help you choose your perfect park.

Now it’s important to keep in mind that free park day only includes day stays. So don’t expect to be able to sneak in an overnight trip. And while you will be in the outdoors, we highly recommend that you still bring and wear masks and also ways to sanitize your hands and gear.
