This waterfront West Van estate for sale has a built-in boathouse & private peninsula

Every once in a while, we stumble across a property really shows off the crazy side of Vancouver. This week we found one, located on its own private peninsula out in West Vancouver. Let’s check out 5365 Seaside Place, which is an insane home for sale right now.

The home was actually originally built back in 1990, but was extensively renovated in the mid-2000s to keep things up to date. After all, you can’t be selling a home for close to $25M and not bring the noise. So, let’s start with the exterior.

Sitting atop its own rocky peninsula, the home is definitely reminiscent of a Bond villain. Done mostly in limestone and with a sort of brutalist design, it does work well with the rocks below, but isn’t exactly the spot for a lush garden party. Pool parties maybe, especially with the massive patio and a gorgeous view to take in. After all, you’ve got 500 feet of your own shoreline- you might as well use it.

Meanwhile, the inside of the 8,445 sq. ft. house is practically an art gallery, making extensive use of white walls and marble floors. We’re going to go ahead and use the word ‘sterile’ here, but we think that’s exactly what the owners were going for. You do get some relief though- particularly in the grey home theatre.

But, there are even more unique amenities to enjoy here. After all, we’ve never seen a home that has got a boathouse literally built into it. Here, you’ll be able to park your preferred pleasurecraft (maybe the appropriately crazy Lamborghini 63) for easy access the next time you need to get to your mega-yacht. Or, for the more reserved boater, a cruise along the shoreline.

So, have you been experiencing issues related to storing art, driving your boat, and potentially taking over the world? You might just be in the wrong space for it! You can check out the full listing for 5365 Seaside Place right here.
