This scenic 8km tubing adventure near Toronto is the perfect adventure

We all could use a little adventure every now and then. You can find all that and more when you go tubing on the Cambridge Grand River. This stellar outdoor spot is the closest tubing location to Toronto. With only about a 1.5-hour drive, you’ll be able to experience all the stunning water and scenery they’ve got to offer.

All you’ve gotta do is pick a day and reserve your spot online ahead of time. We recommend doing this early since the place fills up pretty quickly. Once you’re there, you’ll get your turbo tube and the land will be yours to discover. You’ll be given a set of paddles to steer and you can go as fast or as slowly as you’d like down the 8km waterway. There are plenty of little islands along the way that you can explore.

The turbo tubes are perfect for kayakers at any level. They’re stable enough that you don’t have to worry about tipping into the water. Plus, they’ve got extra room for any snacks you’d like to bring on your trip. The whole experience lasts hours, so you may as well get comfy.

Once you come to the end of the 8km, you’ll have arrived at the town of Old Gault. You’re welcome to catch a shuttle back to your vehicle. But if you want to stay for a while and explore the town, that’s an option too. Old Gault is home to a ton of adorable restaurants, even more gorgeous scenery, and it’s the filming location of some of your favourite TV shows. The Handmaid’s Tale, American Gods, Designated Survivor, Flatliners, and 12 Monkeys have all shot scenes here.

So get online and reserve your spot today! We can’t think of a better day trip to help you celebrate to end of summer. We know we’ll be making the trip here soon. Maybe we’ll see ya there!
