Great Places to Work Canada just released their official rankings of the Best Workplaces for Start-Ups 2021. This list is stacked with amazing companies from coast-to-coast.
So to qualify as one of the Best Workplaces for Start-Up 2021, these companies have to check off a few requirements. The organizations had to be Great Place to Work Certified™ in the past year. Plus, they had to fit the definition of a start-up (usually less than 5 years in business). Then the best companies were chosen based on employee responses to a Trust Index Survey.

There were loads of great picks on the list, but of course, we couldn’t help but notice a pattern in the selections. It seems that overall, Information Technology and Software companies tend to take the cake. We also saw picks from industries like Professional Services, Finance, and Media.
There were some pretty cool inclusions, including the direct-to-consumer mattress behemoth Endy, the healthy candy start-up SmartSweets, and the healthcare staffing service BookJane.
