Seattle and dogs go together like Seattle and coffee. And while that’s a really bad analogy what we’re trying to say is pretty much everyone here has a dog. Whether you have a purebred or a mutt, it doesn’t matter because all dogs are special. But it turns out that we do pick favorites in this city.
The American Kennel Club just took a look at the city’s favorite dog breeds and Seattle’s is a little surprising. Because it turns out that Seattleites love Golden Retrievers the most. And to be completely honest we don’t know anyone with one of these pups but they are pretty sweet nonetheless.

In second place is the Labrador Retriever, then Pembroke Welsh Corgi, then French Bulldog, and finally the Australian Shepherd. And surprisingly the Australian Shepard is a new addition to the list this year. But we’ll take it because they’re great dogs. Just like the rest of ’em!
