This local startup is helping students stay busy for cash this winter

Winter is in full swing and many of Toronto’s students are spending their free time twirling their thumbs at home. With the ongoing pandemic still at large, loads of kids who would be occupied with things like after-school activities, or part-time jobs, are bored out of their minds instead. Well, the Toronto start-up Local Student is here with a solution.

So Local Student is a nifty little website that pairs out-of-work kiddos with community members in need of a helping hand. When you log on as a customer, you’ll be able to hire a student to take care of snow removal on your property. You won’t have to worry about braving the cold for the mundane task and the student gets a little extra spending money. It’s a win-win!

The website is still fairly new, but it’s already wracked up loads of traffic. At the time we’re writing this, over 12,000 students in 23 cities have signed up. The service has a 4.6 star rating on Google Reviews and has been featured by a ton of news outlets. So safe to say, it’s a pretty good deal.

So whether you’re a student looking for something to fill your time, or a customer in need of a little extra help, be sure to check out this local start-up today. You can hop online for a free quote any day of the week.
