Staycations have been great during the pandemic but we’ll guess that at least a few of you are itching for something new. If you’re ready for a road trip, you need to visit Montana’s historic Chico Hot Springs. Grab your bathing suit, your car keys and let’s get into some details on the 10 hour drive.
Chico Hot Springs Resort & Spa opened its doors in 1900 and has been a Montana favorite ever since. It sits below the base of Emigrant Peak and is just a short drive from Yellowstone National Park. Not only that but the resort itself is spread over 800 acres in Paradise Valley meaning you have multiple accommodations to choose from, opportunities to relax and land to explore.

When it comes to staying at Chico you can choose between the original Victorian inn, luxury cabins, “glamping” Conestoga wagons, western chalets, and modern lodge rooms. All of which have views of the surrounding Absaroka, Crazy and Gallatin mountain ranges. Oh and when it comes to dining, the resort serves up gourmet cuisine and an award-winning wine list all in the historic dining room.
It’s hard to say no to the accommodation and eats but you’ll find it impossible not to book a stay when you hear about the hot springs. The resort has two natural outdoor hot springs pools that are open year-round for guests to enjoy and relax in. And as the resort’s name suggests, it also has a day spa offering services like full-body massages, facials, yoga, and more.
