Don’t look down: This Alberta park has a ‘secret’ suspension bridge & it’s magical

Looking for a trail worth the sweat? Hidden within the trees of Kananaskis, you’ll find Blackshale Suspension Bridge, a destination that’ll take your next mountain adventure (and photos) to brand-new heights.

Located in Alberta’s Peter Lougheed Park, this 7.1-kilometre hike (there and back) is a stunning trek with plenty of Photo ops – for everyone.

Considered an easier trail, even inexperienced hikers are encouraged to check it out as long as they’ve got a buddy, a good pair of shoes and a camera!

Some Albertans will get a cheque from the Government next month & here’s why

Along the way, expect to see wildlife, catch some sunshine and maybe make a hiking friend or two – just don’t look down when you come to the overpass, unless you can handle it!

Want to check it out? Don’t forget to bring the essentials like a water bottle and some snacks, then head to the trailhead in the Black Prince Day Use Area.

The loop will be accessible from the parking lot as well as the road when this area is full, but we would still recommend heading to the mountains early. You’ll thank us when you see this place for yourself!

To see day-of weather conditions (which you absolutely should check for this particular hike) you can check out this website, otherwise, be brave, be safe, and be ready.

It’s going to be magical!
