You know, normally we like to feature a home of the week that we’d actually like to live in. But there are also some pretty crazy homes for sale in Washington that we simply can’t ignore. And that’s how we feel about this Medina home which is a picture-perfect representation of “money can’t buy taste”.

Home of the Week: 5330 Butterworth Rd

home of the week

Alright, to start, this home is on a street called Butterworth. That already makes us feel like it’s straight out of the movie Clueless. But before we go too hard on this home we would like to point out its redeeming quality of being a lakefront home. And it also happens to have a pretty great yard with a tennis court, fruit & vegetable gardens & putting green.

It feels like a home we’d build in Sims and by virtue of that fact we probably don’t need to tell you that the home was built in the 90s. And on that note, we get a lot of different vibes from the listing images. We have a fish, a game room, and then also Marie Antoinette’s study. Is this what Microsoft money looks like?

But hey you do get to enjoy a movie theatre, wine cellar, indoor basketball/racquetball court, weight room, sauna, and spa. Plus you’ll have 5 bedrooms, 11 bathrooms, and 14,940 sqft. Money can definitely buy you space!

If the design isn’t putting you off then the $17.8 million price tag definitely will. And we’d like to say that the home has good bones but we’re not exactly sure how you’d shape this up to 2021 standards. We have a feeling potential buyers feel the same considering this home has been on the market for 539 days. Someone down the line will turn this into their Versailles, though.
