We’re absolutely ready for this week, are you?
Edmonton is jam-packed with energy and events this week. Whether it’s exploring the city and spots like the Telus World of Science or going to exciting pop-up events like L-ART-T, you’re going to have a great time this week.
Without further ado, let’s jump into things, shall we?
L-ART-T is the Edmonton Arts Council’s LRT pop-ups, with interactive activities and performances taking over the stations on multiple occasions. Whether it’s getting a poem made just for you, a spoken word performance, or something you’d never expect on an LRT ride, you’re going to have a great time.
On April 21 from 5 to 7 p.m., MacEwan Station will light up. You can sit with a poet and have a personalized haiku made for you.
If you’re more into participating yourself, you can write a poem for another ride with block poetry on April 23 from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Government Centre Station. Here, you can listen to the poets share their powerful spoken word pieces.

This is Edmonton’s science centre, with feature displays, interactive learning opportunities, and so much more. Here, you can even catch a movie in IMAX or visit one of its many exhibits.

Get ready for an unforgettable night of laughs at the Grindstone Theatre!
This improv night is an evening of top-tier comedy featuring the city’s best improvisers, performing hilarious, unscripted scenes based on your wildest suggestions.

ChocoFest will be running for its second year in Sherwood Park this April. This festival acts as Alberta’s premier chocolate tasting festival as well as a two-day celebration of all things chocolate. In total, you can expect 28 diverse vendors from Canada, Peru and Denmark.
