It might be a short week after Family Day, but the upcoming weekend is jam-packed with fun Lunar New Year celebrations, big-name concerts, and comedy shows. So grab your rain boots; here are 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this weekend (Feb. 20-22).

Vancouver Chinatown Spring Festival and Parade

On the sixth day of the Lunar New Year, the Vancouver Chinatown Spring Festival and Parade takes over the city to celebrate the Year of the Fire Horse with Canada’s largest assembly of traditional lion dance teams. Spanning 1.3 km, the annual parade will kick off at Millennium Gate in Chinatown at 11 a.m., winding its way through Chinatown to the intersection of Keefer and Carrall Streets.

The Spring Festival Cultural Fair will take place at the Chinese Cultural Centre and Dr. Sun Yat-sen Garden Courtyard (50 East Pender St.) following the parade, from 2 to 4 p.m., and the Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden will be transformed for the two-day LNY festivities.

Where: Parade travels along East Pender, Gore, and finishes at the intersection of Keefer and Carrall streets

Cardi B – Little Miss Drama Tour 

The Grammy-winning queen of rap is coming to Vancouver on her Little Miss Drama Tour, and fans won’t want to miss it. Tickets are still available and cost an arm and a leg, but it might just be worth the splurge.

Japan Market Spring 

What better way to usher in spring than at the Japan Market this weekend? There will be tons of authentic food, beautifully-made local art and crafts, and traditional performances like Yosakoi dancers, Katori Shinto Ryu (martial arts), Taiko drumming, and much more.

When: Saturday, Feb. 21 and Sunday, Feb. 22, 2026

Vancouver Warriors vs. Buffalo Bandits 

The Vancouver Warriors are up against the Buffalo Bandits this week, and it’s sure to be an intense showdown on the turf. Cheer on our home team and kick off the weekend at an energy-packed arena.

Hanumankind – OTW Tour: North America 2026 

Hanumankind is an Indian rapper whose sound blends global hip-hop with his South Asian roots, gaining international fame with his hit “Big Dawgs.” Now, he’s going on tour across North America, and he’s coming to the Commodore on Saturday, Feb. 21, 2026.

Vancouver Whitecaps FC vs. Real Salt Lake

Coming off a strong season, the Whitecaps are back at BC Place this weekend, and they’re up against Real Salt Lake. So get ready to don your blue and white and watch the action unfold.

Just For Laughs Vancouver

Just For Laughs Vancouver is turning 10 this year, and to celebrate, the iconic comedy festival has what is perhaps its most star-studded lineup yet. From David Letterman to Atsuko Okatsuka to Zach Galifianakis, there are tons of big-name comics doing sets at this year’s festival. This weekend marks your last couple of days to check out a show!

Matriarchs Uprising Festival 

The Dance Centre and O Dela Arts present the eighth annual Matriarchs Uprising Festival, a celebration of contemporary dance by Indigenous women from across Canada and Australia. There are six programs of live performances from Feb. 18 to 21, along with artist-led talks, dance masterclasses, workshops, and IndiDance on Screen from Feb. 16 to 21, 2026.

Single, Not Single at the Improv Centre
