It’s the most wonderful time of the week!! The weekend is here (and can you believe we’re more than halfway through August?!) so it’s time to start planning your itinerary. We’re aiming to make sure it’s full of festivities – here are 11 of the best things to do in Toronto this weekend.

The Toronto Picture Show outdoor movies are showing a classic at Bell Manor Park!

Canada’s most prestigious championship Thoroughbred race is back! Kings Plate 2024 is happening Saturday and there are still some tickets available. Don’t forget to dress the part.

Stackt Markt is putting on a summer festival you won’t want to miss.
According to Stackt, Made in TO is “a celebration of community, hyper-local artists, businesses, vendors, food specials, games and more!”

Wheels on Danforth is for the car lovers out there!
This street festival on the Danforth will have food vendors, music, a kid’s zone and of course a selection of amazing cars on display.

Chinatown’s popular summer street festival is happening this weekend!
The festival pays tribute to Chinese culture and serves as a tourist attraction for visitors from all over to enjoy.
Mouthwatering street food, traditional dancing and dragon dances, Kung Fu demonstrations are just some of the festivities to expect!
When: Saturday, August 17th & Sunday, August 18th

Head over to the Downsview Airport Lands on Saturday or Sunday!
“The historic 2km runway will be transformed into a playground of exhilarating activities and endless possibilities, all set against breathtaking views of the Toronto skyline,” says the event page.
Guests are encouraged to bring bikes, tricycles, scooters and skateboards to cruise the runway.
Not only is the event free but so is parking. Just be sure to register before you go here.

Taste of Manila is back for its 11th edition this weekend and they’re promising to be bigger and better than ever. This year, you can expect Alden Richards, Asia’s Multimedia Star and Boobay, a top comedian and performer, who will entertain the crowds at the festival.
As usual, there will be food, local vendors, and lots of entertainment.
