Get ready, friends! Monday, September 5th is hot on our heels which means so is an extra day of fun and excitement! Not sure how to spend your long weekend? We’ve got you! From outdoor activities to annual festivities, here are 8 things to do in Edmonton on Labour Day in 2022.
It’s tradition! This upcoming Monday, head to your favourite local sports bar and watch as the Calgary Stampeders and Edmonton Elks go head to head in an annual battle of Alberta. It’s going to be a good game, we can feel it!

Hungry? Head over to Giovanni Caboto Park for the 31st annual big Monday BBQ, held by the Edmonton District and Labour Council. Grab a burger and a drink, soak up the sun and enjoy live entertainment, giveaways and music!

what’s better than a couple of floats and some street performances? Well, usually we’d say nothing – but when there are sheep involved… the answer has GOT to be ‘sheep parade!’ This Monday, head to the NE to bid Fort Saskachewans hardworking woolly friends goodbye – it’s going to be sbaaaactacular.

That’s right, the Edmonton Corn Maze is back for the season! Head down and quite literally lose yourself in acres upon acres of corn. Sounds like a Stephen King novel, but we assure you, it’s much more fun than that.

Cost: $12+
Is it too early to start planning for Halloween? Absolutely not! This Monday head to Edmonton’s Somerset Farms and pick your very own pumpkin! Our advice? Make a pie out of this one, and then head back closer to the October 31st to grab another for carving!
