Welcome to the first official week of July, Vancouver! Get ready for a ton of fun things to do in and around the city, because it’s officially summertime in Raincouver. Regardless of the weather, there’s plenty to do by way of free concerts, patios, and food markets. Here’s our roundup of 10 of the best things to do in and around Vancouver this week (July 4-8).

Hit up a waterfront patio

Whether you duck out early for an afternoon happy hour or head to a waterfront patio for after-work drinks with your pals – we’ve got some fantastic options to toss your way.

Go to an all-you-can-eat buffet

We think AYCE spots get a bad rep – if you want to have control over what goes on your plate (and how much), then it’s a great option! Plus, you get to sample the entire menu as opposed to just one or two items.

FVDED in the Park

While this is more of a weekend excursion, it does technically start on a Friday, so….we think it counts. FVDED in the Park is finally back, and the lineup is unreal. Don Toliver, Illenium, Rick Ross, and Yung Lean are just some of the headliners. Take the post-Canada Day festivities right on over to Surrey, you know you want to!

When: Friday, July 8th and Saturday, July 9th
Where: 13428 Old Yale Road, Holland Park
Cost: $200 for GA 2-day passes

KHRUANGBIN

Another fun Friday excursion? A concert at the PNE – the psych-rock band Khruangbin is coming to town and we’re ready to end the week on a high note.

When: July 8th
Where: 2901 East Hastings Street
Cost: $49.50

Hit the Grouse Grind

Last but not least, we’ve got the Grouse Grind. AKA – the perfect way to recharge for the weekend! Elevation and muscle gains + views pair well, we think. Just stay hydrated!

That’s all for this week, Vancouver! We hope it’s a great one.
