It’s finally summer and here in Toronto, it certainly feels like the season has started. The Pride Parade is back after a two-year hiatus, food festivals are back in full swing, and outdoor concerts are taking over the city once again. Check out this list of the coolest things to do this weekend in Toronto so you can make the most of every moment.

Circus Fest: Pride Edition

This weekend is all about Pride festivities and this is one party you don’t want to miss. Circus Fest: Pride Edition will feature Chippy Nonstop & Nino Brown & Yes Yes Yall & Friends, held at a huge indoor and outdoor venue with live DJs, games, art installations, food vendors, and more. Get into it!

Sugarland Festival

A new music festival is coming to the city’s beach this weekend. The event, called SugarLand Festival, will be putting on a one-day festival on Toronto’s Sugar Beach called Let There Be House. The festival is put on by Prism Events, Canada’s largest gay event production company, and is described as a safe and inclusive space for all members of the LGBTQ2S+ community.

Pride Parade

After two long years, Toronto’s world-famous Pride Parade will take place for its 41st in-person edition this June. Celebrate how far Toronto’s 2SLGBTQ+ community has come and throw on your rainbow colours for this massive celebration of love. There will be over 200 contingents and over 200,000 marchers in this year’s parade, so needless to say, it will be as big and beautiful as ever. You can find the parade map and details here.

Taste of Asia

Taste of Asia, Canada’s largest Asian festival, is back! Returning to Markham, this will be the 18th year for the event, which celebrates harmony, cuisine and culture. Expect flavour and fun at this year’s Taste of Asia, which kicks off on June 24. This year’s event will have mouthwatering eats like hotpot towers with wild toppings. We’re drooling already!

Green Space Festival

The start of warm weather and in-person festivals calls for a celebration in Toronto, and what better way to do that than a big collective happy dance? Green Space Festival is back in Toronto for Pride Month and it’s a free, all-ages dance party where everyone is welcome.

The dance parties are described as “the best alfresco parties with enticing music, queery performances, delicious food and drinks, and a whole lot of love.”

Toronto Outdoor Picture Show: Opening Weekend

The season of movies under the stars is about to return here in the city! The Toronto Outdoor Picture Show (TOPS) is making a comeback for the summer with a new series of programming called Curtains Up!.
