It’s officially March Break and that means it’s about to be busy in the city. There are a ton of fun things to do in Toronto and we’re kicking off with a bunch this week. It’s time to explore this lively city.
From local vendors’ markets to skating activities and local events – there are a number of things to do in the city that you must check out.

March Break is here in Ontario and those interested in family events should stop by Cineplex and catch one of its family-friendly movies.
The theatre chain is offering $3.99 movie tickets on select movies this week.

This year, SpringFest offers a diverse range of indoor activities including a number of carnival rides, delicious eats, and daily performances. And since it’s indoors, you won’t need to worry about the unpredictable spring weather.
About 90% of the festival is housed within the four buildings at the Markham Fairgrounds, providing a comfortable and weather-proof environment for families to enjoy.

The Toronto Zoo is Extending its hours through March Break from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM and putting on some activities. There will be a Paw Patrol meet-and-greet and dance party on March 9th and 10th plus a new experience called Wild Encounters, a rare opportunity to get up close and personal with your favourite animals. Tickets start at $18.52 for children ages 3-12 and $26.45 per adult.
When: Saturday, March 9th – Sunday, March 17th from 9:30 AM – 6:00 PM

The Hockey Hall of Fame is putting on some fun March Break programming from Saturday, March 9th – Sunday, March 17th. Some of the festivities include meet and greets with NHL Mascots on March 12th, 3D films and a shoot + save station to try your hand at goaltending. Grab tickets here.

Experience one of the largest pop-up art events in North America, right here in Toronto. Not only will you enjoy the creative works over over 70 local artists, but you’ll get to enjoy as many pancakes as your heart desires – for FREE.
When: March 15th, 2024 from 7 PM to midnight

The Pint is celebrating St Patrick’s Day weekend with classic beer deals and DJs. From March 15th to March 17th, party goers can expect $10 Guinness, $8 Murphy’s, and $6 shots of Kilbeggan Irish Whiskey.
Along with that, there will be DJs, performances by Irish dancers, Nations Ireland vs. Scotland rugby game on March 16th at 12:45 PM, and more.

Step back into the 80s and 90s at this retro arcade experience in Toronto. Hotel X Toronto welcomes all to enjoy the best arcade games from the golden era.
The Retro Arcade runs until March 17th inside Hotel X Toronto’s Kandy Gallery. Expect classic and beloved video games like Dance Dance Revolution, Skee-ball, Mario Kart Arcade GP, Street Fighter, NFL Blitz, Big Buck Hunter HD, and more.
When: Until March 17th – Mondays through Thursdays from 9 AM to 10 PM and Fridays to Sundays from 9 AM to 11 PM
Where: Hotel X Toronto’s Kandy Gallery – 111 Princes’ Blvd
DJ Skate Nights are back at Toronto’s Downsview Airport as part of the ‘Hangar Skate’ series. Expect some of the best tunes, delicious eats, and free skating, every Friday night.
Local community radio station VIBE 105 will be spinning the tunes all night long as you skate or learn to skate courtesy of Peak Performance.
When: Every Friday until March 17th, 2024 from 6 PM to 9 PM

Get ready to lace up your skates!
There are tons of City-run public rinks opening for the season in November. In past years, that has included Christie Pits, College Park, High Park, Kew Gardens, and Mel Lastman Square, Nathan Phillips Square.
So, grab your favourite people and glide the day away at the rink.

Lumière: The Art of Light will temporarily transform Trillium Park at Ontario Place into a free light exhibition allowing visitors to explore the park and experience light installations developed by local artists. Lumière begins March 12th and will run until April 20th.
