The Aga Khan Museum has a “permanent collection of over 1,200 masterpieces and innovative performing arts and educational programming” and on Wednesdays, you don’t need to worry about paying for admission.
The free admission promotion runs on Wednesdays during extended hours from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

The Museum of Contemporary Art aka MOCA knows how to get your weekend started on the right foot.
Each Friday from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., admission is free making this a great spot for date night.
Visitors can book in advance to guarantee entry or drop in at the door, just note that the last time slot for entry is 8:45 p.m.

One of the most beloved musical productions is in Toronto.
The Lion King will perform at the Princess of Wales Theatre on select dates this January. Get your tickets before they sell out.

Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood has transformed into a free outdoor art gallery with 20 augmented reality window installations and five murals.
The fourth annual Window Wonderland event runs until Jan. 31, 2025. This urban art walk features artwork designed by local and international artists.
Visitors can bring the artwork to life using an AR app, Artivive – a first of its kind for the city.

Union Station is bringing back Union Winter with its free indoor roller-skating rink inside the TD West Carriageway, Roller Express.
There will also be free music performances, holiday shopping and delicious bites.
Guests must pre-register online for a two-hour timeslot.

Hangar Skate, the beloved winter experience at the former Downsview Airport lands, is back for the holidays and will stick around after the season with free skating, a massive interactive public art installation, and the inaugural YZD Holiday Market.
YZD will transform into a winter wonderland, running until Family Day weekend. This year, organizers are bringing new and thrilling performances to the main stage, along with an incredible lighting ceremony.

According to the skating trail, its winter programming begins on December 16, and this year, skaters are invited back to cruise the 220m figure-eight skate trail under the Gardiner Expressway. ”
“On display along the Skate Trail, visitors can enjoy Toronto artist Jessica Thalmann’s new work Resurfacing, presented in partnership with Exhibition Place, which explores the many transformations of the Gardiner Expressway over time.,” shares organizers.

Get ready to lace up your skates!
There are tons of City-run public rinks opening for the season in November. In past years, that has included Christie Pits, College Park, High Park, Kew Gardens, and Mel Lastman Square, Nathan Phillips Square.
So, grab your favourite people and glide the day away at the rink.
