10 things to do in and around Seattle this week (July 15-19)

Another summer week is here, and there’s lots to do in the city! Whether you feel like dancing, checking out some baseball with fireworks, or a music festival, Seattle has got it all! Here are 10 things to do in and around Seattle this week!

Dancing ‘til Dusk

Back for another year, Seattle Parks and Recreation is hosting Dancing ‘til Dusk for select evenings this summer. The lessons take place at parks across Seattle, and begins with a dance lesson for the first hour. No experience is needed but keep in mind the class rotates partners. If you’d prefer not to, you can bring a partner to the lesson. This week lessons are in Hing Hay Park on Tuesday, and Freeway Park on Thursday.

Seattle Sounders

This week, catch the Seattle Sounders for a home game. They will be playing St. Louis City SC on Wednesday.

Shakespeare in the Park

Shakespeare in the Park is a performance not to miss this summer. On now and running until Sunday, August 4th, the Seattle Shakespeare Company hosts free, outdoor performances of classical plays in parks throughout the Puget Sound region. Performances this week take place in Lynnwood and SeaTac.

Center City Cinema

Center City Cinema will be screening FREE movies in the park at 12 locations across the city. This week we have screenings on Wednesday and Thursday. On Wednesday, catch The Color Purple (1984) in Denny Park, and on Thursday you can watch Wall-E at Albert Davis Park.

Seattle Mariners 

The Seattle Mariners have several home games this month including this Friday against the Houston Astros, and the best part? It is the T-Mobile Park 25th Anniversary Fireworks Night!

Bite of Seattle 

The Bite of Seattle is an annual food festival that takes place at the Seattle Center, and features over 250 local vendors, beer and wine gardens, cider tastings, local artisans, and over 65+ musical performers.

Kla Ha Ya Days

The Kla Ha Ya Days celebration takes place annually in Snohomish. This year, you can catch the mesmerizing beauty of illuminated hot air balloons at dusk, free Pancake Breakfast, a parade, and street fair.

When: Friday, July 19th to Sunday, July 21st, 2024
Where: First Street, Snohomish

Capitol Hill Block Party 2024

Scheduled for July 19th and 21st in the heart of Capitol Hill, the Block Party is back and headliners include Grammy-winning producer Kaytranada, electropop superstar Kim Petras, and indie rock group Still Woozy. Other performers include: Cannons, Elderbrook, Girl Talk , Becky Hill and Chappell Roan.

Sequim Lavender Festival 2024

If you’re a fan of supporting local farmers and the fragrant plant, the Sequim Lavender Festival is for you. Visitors will be able to enjoy live music, food and check out hundreds of vendors at the festival’s street fair. There is also a beer garden, which will include local and regional beers.

Alki Art Fair

What’s better than art & music on the beach on a weekend? Alki Art Fair kicks off on Friday, and you can take in the colorful views while strolling the promenade. You can expect artists booths and live music all weekend.
