Happy weekend, Edmonton! And it is not just any weekend, it is officially the last weekend of July… That’s right, summer keeps flying by. So be sure to get out and enjoy the next few days. CBC Edmonton is hosting an Olympic Games Paris 2024 Opening Ceremony viewing party at their office located inside the Edmonton City Centre Mall. “Join us for special performances by A-One Taekwondo and Freestyle Movement, giveaways, team bracelet making, and exclusive swag,” states their event which starts at 11 am.

Time for the Grand Night Market! You can expect live performances, DJs, a licensed beverage garden, and fun for all ages! There will be 60-100 vendors including artisan vendors, food trucks, concession/street eats, vintage and more!

Get ready for total mayhem and guaranteed laughter! The Citadel Theatre presents ’The Play That Goes Wrong’, a 1920s murder mystery put on by The Cornley Drama Society, but as the title suggests, everything that can go wrong… does! Watch as the play ‘goes wrong’, but with perfectly staged/planned special effects. Don’t miss out on this Olivier Award-winning comedy about a play within a play – it’s a must-see this summer in Edmonton!

Taste of Edmonton has grown to be known as the largest food festival in Western Canada, and it is back this July for 11 days of food, drinks, and local artisans. And it is celebrating its 40th Anniversary!
