10 things to do in and around Edmonton this week (October 23-27)

And just like that, we have reached the last full week of October. And it is a spooky one! But besides some Halloween events, there are concerts and an Oilers game in Edmonton this week. Not sure where to start? Check out these things to do in Edmonton this week!

Perhaps one of the most highly-anticipated concerts in the city this fall, Maynard James Keenan and Tool will be back on stage in Edmonton this week!

Retire Netflix for an evening and try a fun night out at the theatre instead! Citadel Theatre’s Little Shop of Horrors is the perfect blend of comedy, music, and just a hint of fall-appropriate spookiness. This sci-fi musical comedy tells the story of a meek floral shop assistant who stumbles across a strange new plant that causes business to boom. But this plant has a sinister edge, and when it starts to promise fame and fortune, it also develops a vampiric thirst for human blood! DARK: Fort Edmonton Park

It’s your last chance to face your biggest fears in Edmonton!  Dark at Fort Edmonton Park has new haunting experiences at its event, which is celebrating 6 years of terror. “Survive a horde of undead in a defenceless frontier town. Escape the deranged killer clown whose grand gesture is murder. Dare to discover what nightmares are made during  the witching hour,” states the event. We are scared just reading that.

Deadmonton Haunted House

The super-popular Deadmonton Haunted House has returned! Celebrating 10 years of scary the pants off of nearly everyone who attends, this year’s event will take place at the old Edmonton Sun building and feature 3 chilling experiences.

Edmonton Oilers vs. New York Rangers

Alright hockey fans, we have another home game this week, and it is on Thursday. Head to Rogers Place to check out the Edmonton Oilers take on the New York Rangers.

The Magnificent Music Of John Williams

From Jurassic Park to Saving Private Ryan, you probably know John Williams’ iconic works. And this week, Bob Bernhardt will lead the ESO through Williams’ most beloved pieces.
