Well, it is officially September… which means fall is just around the corner. But that won’t stop us from enjoying all the city has to offer, whether outdoors or indoors as the weather cools down. Celebrate Alberta Day 2023
Alberta Day celebrations return in September! From live entertainment and a made-in-Alberta marketplace to cultural workshops and activities for kids, there will be fun for the whole family! On September 2, free public events will take place at Edmonton’s Legislature Grounds featuring a concert with folk-rock legends Captain Tractor.

Cocktails and Jerk Festival
Check out the Cocktails and Jerk Festival the first weekend of September! Cocktails and Jerk is a “Caribbean-themed food event, showcasing popular street foods and tropical cocktail beverages.” So, expect a variety of vendors, representing the best cuisine in the city, to be offering some delicious Caribbean dishes, from jerk chicken to fried plantains and more.

Symphony in the Square
On September 1st & 2nd, you can check out a FREE Disney concert featuring the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra and vocalists. Disney in Concert A Dream is a Wish will feature music from beloved Disney animated feature films, including The Little Mermaid, Aladdin, The Lion King, Beauty and the Beast, Frozen, and more!

Mural Massive 2023
Mural Massive is back for the fourth year with new large-scale murals to the Old Strathcona and Downtown communities. Festivities kick off on September 2 with a party at The Grindstone Theatre featuring live art, music and comedy all day. Mural painting will happen over the week following, according to organizers.

The Edmonton Mountain Bike Festival
Running for three days straight, EMBFest is a mixture of trail rides, concerts, hanging out, and learning what’s new in the industry! The festival will feature arts and entertainment throughout the weekend, including the bike jump jam, photo contest, bike show & shine and features live music.

Movies on the Square

The Chicks
