After four days jam-packed with activities and celebrating Alberta heritage, you might be looking for a combination of fun and chill. We’ve struck just the right balance. From gem and mineral shows to EDM orchestral live music, here are 10 things to do this week in and around Calgary.

Cirque du Soleil ECHO

The world-renowned acrobatics group will perform at the Big Top for the opening night of its new show, ECHO, with bold new visuals, surprising twists and never-before-seen acrobatic feats.

Calgary Gem and Mineral Show

Feast your eyes on over 60 of the best gem, mineral and jewelry vendors from across Canada and abroad. You’ll experience rare, fine gems and crystals in this 20,000-square-foot room piled high with stones.

India Film Festival of Alberta

The Edmonton Movie Club was formed in 2012 with a mission to spotlight films by independent filmmakers from India and Canada. They’ve partnered with various venues and arts organizations throughout Calgary and Edmonton to bring you this year’s spotlight on Northeast India, highlighting the rich artistic heritage and cinematic excellence from the region.

NMC Presents: CIBC Summer Series — Clea Anaïs with (un)decided

Dreamy art-pop from Calgary’s Clea Anaïs meets the city’s hottest new eight-piece hip-hop group, (un)decided at the King Eddy for their Thursday night CIBC Summer Series.

Piano Project YYC

Get your jazz hands ready and don your fedora! Piano Project YYC is back at The Ampersand in CF Chinook Centre, part of the 2025 Honens Festival and featuring Toronto-based pianist and composer Anthony D’Alessandro.

SYNTHONY: EDM Meets Orchestra

Join the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra in an absolutely epic and innovative combination of EDM and orchestra. The Phil will bring its grand sound to the Big Four while DJs, vocalists and immersive visuals bring the heat. You’ll get to dance the night away to the biggest EDM anthems from Swedish House Mafia, Avicii, Calvin Harris and Fatboy Slim. Next level!

Stardew Valley – Symphony of Seasons

You can celebrate the end of summer, Stardew Valley style, with an orchestral performance of the popular video game’s seasonally themed soundtrack.

Inglewood Night Market

Celebrate Inglewood community spirit at this modern market. A host of local vendors will offer a diverse range of goods, including handmade crafts, vintage clothing, antiques, collectibles, and artisanal eats.

The Confluence After Hours

Experience the evening light of The Confluence at this after-hours summer party. The cultural centre’s opening hours will be extended as the twilight looms, giving you the rare opportunity to enjoy the site and its exhibits under the cover of darkness.
