It’s nearly here, love birds. The year’s most romantic month is just around the corner and so plenty of events where you can celebrate whatever ‘ship’ warms your heart. In addition, we’ll also commemorate Black History month and Family Day – so it’s going to be a busy one! Not sure where to start? Here are 25 things to do this February in Calgary.
Feeling patriotic (and hungry) this month? Check out La Poutine Week. This year’s event will span an entire two weeks and will see a whole slew of Calgary restaurants whipping up their best poutine creations so don’t miss it!

It’s back and sweeter than ever! The annual YYC Hot Chocolate Festival kicks off this February with a ton of restaurants and cafes around the city participating. You can hit one, hit a couple, or hit them all, the city is your oyster.

The beautiful community of Currie is leaning into the magic of winter with its event, Light The Night, An Illuminated Walk from now until February 12.
Visitors to this free outdoor display will enjoy 7 grand light-based art installations throughout Alexandria Park and experience unique storytelling and light-based artwork from local Alberta artists.
