Ready to literally dive into summer? You’re in luck, because public pools around Edmonton are officially reopening next week! Thanks to Alberta entering Step 2 of our reopening plan, the city has been given the go ahead to, quite literally, go be cool in the pool. Here’s what you need to know.

A total of 4 of Edmonton’s public pools will reopen on Monday, June 14th. These are:

  • Kinsmen Sports Centre
  • Queen Elizabeth Outdoor Pool

The majority of these pools have been closed for over a year, and we’re definitely chomping at the bit to dive back in once more. After all, swimming is a great workout and can be enjoyed both solo or with a couple of your close contacts. Especially when it’s like 25 degrees and sunny out.

Of course, things won’t be a free for all once they do reopen. The current plan is to reopen with reduced capacity, and all visitors will be required to book a time online and in advance. Sorry, but no popping over to your local pool to splash around quite yet, folks.
