Howdy folks! With the weather warming up, we’re thinking that this might be a good week to check out some patios around Edmonton. And lucky for us, a new one opened up along Jasper Ave over the weekend! Let’s see what the news is.

Turns out, the Rocky Mountain Icehouse doubled up on the patios for summer, adding a brand new one at the back of the building. This one is a little more hidden than the one out front, but features heaters, ample seating, and a first row look at a massive public art mural.

If you haven’t checked out the Icehouse out yet, here’s what to expect as well. Inspired by similar setups down in Texas, the spot brings a little Albertan flare to down-home southern cooking. So, we recommend trying out their Mac & Cheese Hushpuppies or the Southern Fried Chicken Sandwich on your first visit.

Which is hopefully sooner rather than later! Keep this new patio in mind when you’re craving some outdoor dining this spring, Edmonton.
