There’s a free concert series in Whistler for the summer & here’s what to know

Summer is in full swing, and it sure is turning out to be a bright and sunny season! And bringing some more sunshine to our lives is the Whistler Summer Concert Series. Plus, it’s totally free.

Frankly, when it comes to escaping into the mountains, Whistler isn’t just the obvious but the perfect choice. It’s beautiful, it’s adventurous & it’s only a short drive away. And now it’s even making our summer fun and musical.

The Resort Municipality of Whistler is bringing music back to the mountains with some of the best Canadian & international talent. Every week you can see seasoned artists performing at Olympic Plaza. And they have just about every musical genre covered— funk instrumentals, indie pop, R&B, rock bands and more.

Come Thursday & Friday evenings in July and select Thursdays in August, the plaza turns into a collection of community making memories all summer long.

The DJs start at 6:30 pm and make for an up-beat opening act for the live concerts which starts at 7:30 pm. While the music sure adds to the electric vibe, there are even more ways to enjoy the plaza and make your night your own. Is there anything better than lazing around on a picnic blanket, grabbing delicious grub & cold drinks, and chilling out at the plaza all evening long.

Given the line-up of activities we tend to indulge in (think, hiking, biking, zip lining, golfing, etc.), a chill evening sounds like the perfect finish.

There’s even free bike parking and bike valet if you ride to the plaza.
