Heads up! The world’s deadliest mushroom has popped back up in Vancouver

If you forage in or around Vancouver then you want to hear this. And that is Death Cap mushrooms have been spotted popping up in various urban centres around BC. So keep your eyes peeled and the pets and little ones away from mushrooms you are unfamiliar with.

In case you didn’t know, Death Cap mushrooms are the most poisonous mushroom in the world. And they unfortunately look a lot like edible mushrooms. So with that in mind, make sure you really know your stuff if you’re foraging and eating mushrooms that you pick.

And if you’re wondering why this is happening, it’s actually pretty normal. These bad boys normally pop up during the wetter months and that’s exactly what we’re heading into. So please be careful out there, after all, we all want to make it out of October alive.

Have a great day, folks.
