The hills are alive! The Sound of Music is coming to Edmonton’s Citadel Theatre and here’s when

If your idea of a perfect Sunday is frolicking in the Austrian Alps while singing your heart out – then boy, do we have news for you…

While this might not be the exact same thing, the beloved musical The Sound of Music is coming to Edmonton – so why not live vicariously?

You might know the movie, but have you ever seen The Sound of Music performed live? It’s a whole new experience.

This Tony Award-winning musical tells the story of free-spirited Maria in 1930s Austria. Leaving her religious life at the abbey, Maria becomes a governess in the home of a widowed naval captain with 7 children. Her new position becomes a transformative journey in which she brings a new love for life and music into the hearts of the children and the surly Captain Von Trapp.

It’s a story of joy, love, and finding your family – and it’s a total classic

The Sound of Music is approximately 2.5 hours with a 20-minute intermission included and will be playing at the Citadel Theatre in Edmonton from Saturday, March 2 to Sunday, March 31 – and opening night is almost sold out!
