We’ll be honest and say that after the success of Shipyards Live this summer, we weren’t expecting such a great way to cap it off! The second-ever Shipyards Festival is coming back to North Van this Saturday, and the organizers have pulled out all the stops. Let’s see what they’ve got planned.

This outdoor festival combines music, food, and of course a whole lotta fun. Taking over the Shipyards District, the festival has got over 25 different performers playing across 5 different stages, ranging from up-and-coming singer-songwriters to established names (like The Zolas). Craving a little bit of nostalgia? You’ll be happy to hear that the main headliner is none other than the Canadian legends Bedouin Soundclash.

Alongside the near nonstop music lineup, visitors will be able to enjoy a wide range of food and beverage options. Grab something from one of the food trucks on-site, or swing by one of the beer gardens and enjoy some local brews. Full disclosure- we’ll be doing both, especially since we don’t have to pay for a ticket.

That’s right folks- this massive, one-day only festival is free to attend! For that reason alone we think it’s worth a visit, rain or shine. After all, that’s what umbrellas and rain jackets are made for!
