Prairie landscapes have taken over screens big and small and with no sign of slowing down, Alberta has been featured in upcoming film ‘The Order,’ a true crime with Jude Law and Nicholas Hoult at the helm.
Based on the non-fiction book ‘The Silent Brotherhood’ by Kevin Flynn and Gary Gerhardt, the film will tell the story of FBI agent Terry Husk, as he pursues a white supremacy group believed to be behind a series of violent robberies.
If you’re interested in checking it out, keep your eyes open for familiar landmarks, as many streets, venues, and highways appear in the trailer.
From The Palace Theatre on Calgary’s Stephen Avenue and North Hill Centre in the northwest to Drumheller’s rolling badlands and the brilliant Rocky Mountains, the province plays a major role in shootouts and car heists.
According to the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE), ‘The Order’ received a 9-minute and 23-second standing ovation following its world premiere at the 81st Venice Film Festival, so it’s sure to be impactful.
Catch it when it hits theatres across Canada on December 6th, 2024.
