The Lavazza Drive-In International Film Festival returns to Ontario Place this weekend

For the second year in a row, Torontonians can head on over to the Ontario Place Drive-In this summer for the Lavazza Drive-In International Film Festival. The 20-day event will be showcasing a ton of great films celebrating Canadian multiculturalism, with a special focus on Italian cinema.

The Lavazza Drive-In International Film Festival is presented in collaborations with Rogers Communications and Christie Digital, and funded by the Government of Ontario. Although the festival does have a special “Focus Italian” series, it will also feature amazing selections of representing Canada’s cultural mosaic; including Americans, British, Korean, Latinx, African, Chinese, French, Jewish, Japanese, Turkish, Indian, Iranian, Indigenous Peoples, and Russian communities.

Given that the festival is a celebration of Canadian multiculturalism, it’s only fitting that it should launch on Canada Multiculturalism Day. Along with screenings of some of the best contemporary international cinema selections, there will also be a ton of festival perks like red carpet appearances, special guests, celebrity hosts, unique concessions, and more.
